For Birkin and Kelly bags, a familiar model name is not enough to establish the features of a particular piece. The listed size, usable opening, handle drop and any included shoulder strap should be considered against your own carrying needs.

Ask about condition beyond the overall grade

Review detailed photographs of the corners, base, handles, closure, lining and hardware. Ask for close-ups of areas that are out of focus or not shown. A single overall condition grade cannot describe where every mark appears.
